3. What do you make?
We dye mostly sock yarn that is designed to spiral as it is knit.

4. How did you get into making stuff?
We are sisters, born and raised in Baltimore. A few years ago we discovered the world of knitting and all of the amazing people in it. Through our experiences with the community and small knitting group sessions, we have developed a wonderful network of friends, one of whom was a remarkable dye artist herself. We fell in love with the vibrant colors she used. Shortly after we met this woman, she decided that she was no longer going to dye yarn.

At first we joked that we were going to have to learn how to dye, in order to keep ourselves stocked with the yarns that we had come to admire. One day she happened to give us a jar of dye and cautioned- "You're going to love this"...

And the rest of the story unfolds as you would imagine. We got a ton of natural yarn and started playing.

5. What is your favorite thing about the local fiber community?
There are so many talented fiber artists in this area. We have met many and have nothing but positive experiences with every one of them. It’s always fun to get a hold of something that was done by hand in small batches. We love getting things that have been touched by people, rather than machines. It’s like a treasure hunt. And when you get the meet the person that made it, it makes it even more special.

6. How does what you do/make influence the rest of your life, and vice versa?
This entire endeavor is evidence that if you do what you love, it never feels like work.

7. Any funny stories, words of wisdom, something else to share about you or your business?
Every colorway we dye has a story behind it. Some are obvious, some are more obscure references to the culty things we love, like video games, old cartoons, and random comedians.
