2017: Duck Duck Wool

A lover of indie yarns, I began experimenting with my own hand dyes in 2012. As I went chasing after the colors in my head, a new addiction took root. In 2013, I opened up Duck Duck Wool and was thrilled to connect with other knitters and crocheters. My favorite part of being an indie dyer is getting to meet the talented makers who choose DDW for their projects! This year to celebrate Homespun Yarn Party's 10th Anniversary we are teaming up with That Clever Clementine and Backyard Fiberworks to make a limited-edition, one-time-only yarn and bag combination celebrating public libraries and donating 10% of the proceeds to the Enoch Pratt Free Library in Baltimore.

2017: Dragonfly Fibers

Dragonfly Fibers is an artisan yarn company making handdyed yarns and spinning fibers in rich, complex, and sometimes crazy bright colors. We also have a book, Masterpiece Knits: the Modern Collection, that contains knitting patterns and colorways inspired by some of our favorite works of modern art. We will be bringing our two newest (luxury) yarn bases: Selkie Sport, a beautiful bluefaced leicester and mulberry silk sport weight, and a luscious soon-to-be named 50/50 Yak and Silk fingering yarn. 2017: Dancing Leaf Farm

I carry my own line of hand dyed yarn for knitters and fiber and materials for felters. My colorways are unique, deep, saturated colors on animal based fibers, wool, mohair, alpaca, silk. I started my business decades ago with one little sheep. Now I import most of my yarn, but do use my sheep's wool also. My favorite part of my business is the dying. I have a great space that I designed for my dye studio and love spending time splashing on colors.

2017: Cynthia Crane's Pottery (new vendor!!)

My porcelain ceramic buttons and yarn bowls feature styles and motifs inspired by my love of gardening and nature, and are being appreciated by needle art enthusiasts all over the world.

2017: Crabapple Yarns

At Crabapple Yarns, I dye luxury fibers like merino & bamboo, silk and tweeds; for not only knitting but crocheting, weaving and spinning too!  I love to dye vibrant variegated combos, gradients, speckled and semi solids.  This year I'm challenging myself to dye matching sock yarn based off of famous paintings like Starry Night by Van Gogh, landscapes/ phenomenons like the Aurora Borealis and photos that inspire me.

2017: APH Designs

I use glass to produce buttons that can be the finishing touch on hand knit, crochet, woven, or sewn projects.  Many of my button designs go beyond the simple layering of glass and involve designing and creating unique sheets of patterned glass that require multiple firings in the kiln.
