How long have you been in business, and what inspired you to start your business?
My husband and I took over his family dairy farm in 2007, adding a small flock of fiber animals since I was a handspinner. After realizing I my love for Wool, and having an abundance, Angel Locks Fiberworks at Greener Pastures Farm was born. In 2015 we purchased a commercial picker and carder and started building our own products right off the farm. Today we have many rovings to choose from including our pre-drafted gradient rovings that are a super easy, fun spin!!
What's your favorite thing about being a farmer, yarnie, or maker?
I love the whole process from raising the sheep to the finished product. Sheep are amazing animals and they fascinate me with what they have to offer us!
Is your shop involved in any charity or educational efforts you’d like to let people know about?
I love teaching children’s groups about the fiber arts. We have taught homeschool groups and Girl Scouts as well as other youngsters about the many different ways of wool!
