How long have you been in business, and what inspired you to start your business?
I've been in business three and a half years. I have always loved the look of handspun and wanted to create yarn that mimics that. My business mission has evolved to a desire to enable and encourage people to express themselves through color.
What's your favorite thing about being a yarnie?
My favorite thing is creating things that people transform in their own way.
Is your shop involved in any charity or educational efforts you’d like to let people know about?
I am on the board of directors at LEAD Now, Inc., an organization focused on providing holistic healthcare curricula to schools that includes mental health education, and providing mental health education to corporations, camp counselors, and individuals. You can donate to support them here and find out more about their programs at https://leadnow.org. They are soon launching virtual mental health classes that are open to everyone.
