What is your Ravelry name/group?
Cloverhill Yarn Shop

Where are you located and what are your hours?
We are located in Catonsville, MD at 77 Mellor Avenue.

We're open Monday-Saturday from 10am-6pm and Sunday 12pm-6pm. In addition, we host the following:
Sit and Knit Thu 6-8pm
Sit and Knit Sun 1-5pm
Sit and Spin 2nd and Last Friday 6-9pm

What kinds of things do you carry?
We carry a variety of products including yarns from companies like Malabrigo, Plymouth, Berroco, Hedgehog Fibres to name a few. You can also find Tempting Ewe Yarns which is sold exclusively at Cloverhill Yarn Shop.  We sell fiber for spinning and felting such as roving from Hipstrings, and Hobbledehoy batts and rovings. We are Schacht, Ashford, and Louet Dealers and we can order any of their products from spinning wheels to looms.

How long have you been in business, and what inspired you to open your business?
Cloverhill is celebrating its 50th year in business! Originally called the Weaver’s Place, Cloverhill Yarn Shop is fortunate to have been a part of the fiber community for over a generation. It is a joy to offer a happy place for many. We are delighted to teach new skills to those interested in learning, offer a seat at the table to all who wish to join, and offer help with questions when they arise. Cloverhill is an LYS, but it is also a community center for fiber lovers.

What's your favorite thing about having a LYS?
Having an LYS is like having an extended family who shares in your passion. There’s enough diversity in interest within the shop that I’ll always have something to learn; often from a long-time customer with wisdom to share. Sometimes from a new and fearless fiber artist. I am not much of a social person outside the shop but I love to meet new people and reconnect with our regulars every week. I like to think of Cloverhill Yarn Shop as my safe space away from home and I can only hope others agree.
